We do it once, we do it right! :)

The planning started on March 26 2006, and finally we made it; a memorable trip on Memorial Day weekend (May 26, 2006 – May 28, 2006) to Adirondacks :-). The enchanting scenic beauty and adventures galore! Was super-excited about it, and enjoyed it to the zenith. A fun-filled & rollicking weekend indeed!... O’boy, moments to remember, moments I cant forget!

The motto still remains “WE DO IT ONCE, WE DO IT RIGHT…!

"Happy Mother's Day"

"Happy Mother's Day" means more
Than have a happy day.
Within those words lie lots of things
I really never get to say.

It means I love you first of all,
Then thanks for all you do.
It means you mean a lot to me,
And that I honor you.

I'm proud of you for all you've given
I adore you more than words can say.
You are very special to me,
And remembered everyday.

But most of all, I guess it means
That I am thinking of
Your happiness on this, your day,
With pleasure and with love.

Today is the day!!!

Turned around to look at the past 2 years, dint even realize they passed by. A walk down the memory lane...

The hunt for apartment and
rush for course registrations
thats where the craziness started
and it still doesnt feel shy

The struggle to wake up on the alarm
snooze it up, all the while
the queue for the bathroom
have the cereal breakfast, dont waste time

The run to the shuttle-stop
the 15 min precious sleep on the shuttle

Those night outs in Bell
the caffeine shots to keep u awake
but still the inevitable sleep in class
the lecturer never failed to induce

The burden of algos assignments
last minute project submissions
the rejoice on its completion
its not over yet, have an exam tomorrow

The lunches at Cedar or Putnams
the studying together at Northrup
special delicacies served at Custer
B'day cakes, the unplanned fun whenever

The long wait for weekends
movies, cricket and f1 races
the pot-luck dinners
or darshan at the temple

The visits to Niagara Falls
or Marina or just Baird Point
those long drives around Buffalo
or just walks in the snow

Rotating cooking turns amongst roomies
or grocery to cart every weekend
the laziness to do ur laundary
the tension to pay ur bills

Diwali and Holi GISA night celebrations
Ganpati at Winspear, the Garba fun
the infrequent parties at Chippewa
or be it bowling at Tonawanda

Resort to desimedia, limewire or bollygrounds
music from apna DC++
southpark episodes on youtube
or funny videos on google

The frolic on road-trips
treks, skiing and water-sports
the photo-sessions galore
the anecdotes unforgettable

Stayed together, shared together
laughs and tears, the success and pain
Today is the day I graduate
dunno where life will take off from here...

Project ke bina
Nothing much to write, the above says it all ;)
But loved how these words sounded so perfect when a friend Praveer mentioned it. Alas! I'm finally done...

Filmi Ishtyle ;)

There are some words which become an indispensible part of your speech. What is the prime source of such words? ... Movies :)

Parents would be surprised when I would utter "Eh item, kya kar reli hai?";) or I would land up complementing someone "Chikne aaj ekdam jhakaas lag rahela hai, bole toh chaka-chak". Would step out of the house uttering "Adieus... amigos" or saying "I'll be back." Leaving? "Let's get outta here!"

Greet a friend by "Laleti Jaan" "Oye Puttar" "Ki haal hai Kakke"? Ask me who I'am ... "...Bond. James Bond." or shrug it off by "Abbe teri toh". Bidding farewell "Hasta la vista, baby."

Flirtuous as it could get "Meine tumhe pehle kahin dekha hai" yaa fir "aapki aankhon mein kho jaate hai hum". Someone tries to go overboard "Tumhe pataa hai na ki tum bilkul paagal ho" or "Tumhari akal toh thikaane pe hai na?" or a lil abusive "Pen de takke", "kharcha paani doo kya", "Tapka dalega tereko ... khallas kar dalega". The cheesiest words "Aati kya khandaala?" Or if it really wasnt intentional but still spoken, "Kaataan laga" :-P

Thinking about something pensively & someone gives a solution, "I thought so" or if I cant brood over it further then goes "Fuh-get about it!" or something very naive but still cant grasp "Bade bade deshon mein aisi choti choti baatein hoti rehti hai" :-P A grave mistake happens and I go "Ohhh Mmmmyyyyy Gggodddd...!" If I come out successful "Perfection ko improve karna mushkil hai". ;) or shud I put it this way... "I'm the king of the world!"

Trying to be motivational "Never Say Never". Dont worry son "Victory is ours!"

And finally the words uttered incessantly, completely impossible to edit them off my speech "Jhakaas...!", "Aiylaa...!" & "Oye Teri...!"

Rest is "for me to know and you to keep guessing..."

p.s. Feel free to add more to the list
