"Happy Mother's Day"
"Happy Mother's Day" means more
Than have a happy day.
Within those words lie lots of things
I really never get to say.
It means I love you first of all,
Then thanks for all you do.
It means you mean a lot to me,
And that I honor you.
I'm proud of you for all you've given
I adore you more than words can say.
You are very special to me,
And remembered everyday.
But most of all, I guess it means
That I am thinking of
Your happiness on this, your day,
With pleasure and with love.

i hv tried a couple of times and gave up on writing a poem for my mom. just cant get words for the feelings. it's probably an extension of 'strange wonderful relationship' betn a son and mom that joys' mom talked abt.
this one and another one tht alpz wrote some time ago, are relli great.

@sal: Nice blog, but I agree with Sumedh, it is difficult to find the right words to express your luv for parents. You can talk a lot about your parents but it is never enough or sufficient to describe them properly. Words somehow feel insufficuent / incapable of expressing the true emotion.
