The path of happiness is always under construction
Was reading a few quotes and came across this one. Sounds so very true. You need to struggle at every step in life to get what you desire. Things never come to you, you have to run behind them & acquire them. As a part of construction work, you need to jolt a plan, work in that direction and achieve the desired goal. However, things achieved the harder way give this feeling of accomplishment ... unbelievable! As well said by Anatole France "To accomplish great things, we must not only act, but also dream; not only plan, but also believe. "
Its like, to reach a port we must sail, sometimes with the wind and sometimes against it. But we must not drift or lie at anchor. Also, If the going is real easy, beware, you may be headed offshore or deeper into the ocean. When you get to the shore, place the anchor and hang on.
You never change things by fighting the existing reality. To change something, build a new path that makes the existing one obsolete. Vision without action is a daydream. Action without vision is a nightmare. If you're not sure where you're going, you'll probably end up somewhere else. We will find only what we look for, nothing more and nothing less.
So hang on and Never, never, never give up.

The path of happiness is just trying to be happy with what you are and what you have rather than working your way towards getting something more. You have to keep working, leaving the rest to god and be satisfied with whatever you get.
hi saloni,
nice blog. i liked this post and the one on solitude (you should write more poetry). "the path of happiness is always under construction" - true, though my interpretation of the same would be a little different from yours. for example, i disagree that "things never come to you, you have to run behind them & acquire them". i agree with france to a large degree. anyway, that's the wonderful and not-so thing about quotes - mean different things to different persons, and different things to the same person at different times. a bit like a song :). i wonder (but only to a point) what the guy who said that meant. keep smiling "upfront" - its a wonderful quality that is getting harder to come by.
bahut dino se koi post nahi kiya tune blog pe. busy with the sem??
